What to Expect

We are glad you dropped by to check us out online. We hope your online experience will give you a taste of who we are and why we love this place and this community.

We understand that as friendly as most churches hope to be, it still can be a little frightening visiting a church for the first time! Will everyone know what's going on but me? Will people be nice to me? Will my kids like it (and be well-cared for in a safe environment)? Will they ask me for money? How should I dress? Is it okay if I don't believe what everyone else seems to believe?

We've done our best to make Bethany Bible Church as "user-friendly" as possible. Whatever your background, especially if this is your first visit, we want you to feel comfortable.

Our Sunday Worship Times

Upon arrival, you will probably be greeted by one of our friendly ushers/greeters and receive a program explaining what you can expect during the worship time.

Also, one of the first things you will notice is the lobby where you can come a bit early and enjoy a cup of coffee, maybe a cookie or doughnut and have a friendly visit!

If you have children that need care, you will be given any information and guidance necessary.

You will notice that most folks are dressed casual, but no one is concerned about anything other than your being there!...no matter how you are dressed, rich or poor, no matter your skin color or where you are from.

In the service itself, you will notice that we use different media including overhead screens for the words of the songs that we sing. We have many different talented musicians and whether it is a piano, organ, guitar, drums or even saxophone...the music is a blend of contemporary music for today's generation and families as well as traditional hymns. There may be a special presentation in song by the Adult Choir or possibly a solo. At times, we even use drama or multi-media presentations.

Our Senior Pastor, Don Sweeney, usually delivers a message and always it is Bible-based and you will hear a positive, life-changing message every week in one form or another.

The main thing is the GOSPEL. The Gospel is simply the good news that we are saved by grace alone, through faith alone, because of Christ's finished work on the cross -- period. We can never earn salvation or add to it. . .only accept it.
